Labor likely to remain in power in NT despite swing
Despite a swing against the Government it looks like Labor will retain power in the Northern Territory.
The Country Liberal Party needs a 16 per cent swing to form government.
The ABC's election analyst Antony Green says it is still unclear how many seats Labor might lose.
"We're seeing a consistent swing of about five to seven per cent across Darwin against the Labor Party," he said.
"It doesn't seem to be particularly turning into seats, particularly in Darwin itself."
Labor holds 19 of the 25 seats in Parliament, and the CLP holds four.
The seat of Fong Lim looks like it could change hands.
With almost 50 per cent of the vote counted in that seat, the Country Liberal Party has 52.5 per cent of the vote and Labor 47.5.
Chief Minister Paul Henderson has suffered a 5 per cent swing against him.
The Labor Member for Drydale, Chris Natt, is in trouble with a 15.3 per cent swing against him.
Mr Natt has 32.1 per cent of the vote while the CLP's Ross Bohlin has 54.8 per cent of the vote, with 18.2 per cent of the vote counted.

It is sad to think that the conservatives in Australia are a total mess. In Queensland they have already merged to form the Liberal National Party. God help the people of Australia.
